CLRC is committed to providing quality, current information to library professionals. The Council has a Library Archive & Resource Center (LARC) that contains a rich collection of materials that were chosen to assist librarians and archivists to serve their customers. New materials are purchased and added regularly to our online catalog which can be found on
LibraryThing. The LARC is open during regular business hours. Interlibrary loans may be requested through OCLC or by calling Anna Dobkowski at 315-446-5446.
Are you new to LibraryThing? Below are instructions to start you on your way.
2. If you are not a member of LibraryThing, you may join at no cost by clicking on "Join Now" to the right of the screen.
3. Once you create a user name and password, sign in to LibraryThing. This will bring you to your own home page.
Browsing the CLRC Collection
1. Click on the Search tab at the upper right portion of the screen. In the box labeled "Members and Locations" type librarycouncil (no spaces) and click the search button.
3. Click on the Style tabs A - E for your viewing preference of the list of materials currently in the LARC.
Searching the Collection
1. In the blank Search field in the upper right portion of the screen, type in the title, author, or ISBN number, if known. You may use "All Fields" or select from a specific search field.
2. If you are looking for a book on a certain subject (e.g.: internet searching) use the drop down search field labeled "Tags".
3. The result screen gives the items in the CLRC LARC. The OCLC number is also displayed.
4. Using OCLC's FirstSearch, you may generate an interlibrary loan or call Anna Dobkowski at 315-446-5446.
