How to join Have you completed research on a local history topic and would like to share your findings with others? Do you know an "expert" on the history of your town? Have you become knowledgeable in local history because of a hobby?

Presentation topics should relate to some aspect of Onondaga County history. State or regional history topics are welcomed as long as they relate to Onondaga County. Speakers should be able to address a wide cross-section of participants.

Examples of programs include:
Individuals wishing to participate are asked to provide a brief outline of their proposed topic(s), credentials, and at least two references from organizations at which you have presented. Names of suggested speakers to be invited to join the Speakers' Bureau are welcome. The DHP Advisory Committee reserves the right to make the final decision on inclusion in the Speakers' Bureau. While speakers agree not to accept payment for speaking engagements, any reimbursement for travel expenses or donations to non-profit historical organizations they represent may be negotiated between the organization and the speaker.
